Welcome class to reading power two






The Textbook consists of four parts:

1- Extensive reading
2- Building vocabulary 
3- Comprehension skills
4- Reading Faster



Part One: Extensive Reading - Unit 1 to 3

stage 1-  400 words

We discussed some of these questions this week. We also want everyone to buy a fiction or nonfiction book and bring it to class next week. 






What is fiction?

Fictional  stories or books are about people events that are not real. The author makes up the events and sometimes the place. Fiction often includes a message an idea, or an opinion about life in general.

What is Nonfiction?

 Nonfiction is about real people, places, or things. In nonfiction books, the writer gives facts and information that are supposed to be true. 

examples:
 history - science - psychology - travel - nature - biography. medicine - religion 


Read the passage on page 13 to 15 titled The Black Death? for week 3


Read the front and back also read the first 5 pages. for next class.
